Time for an Update

Ipod 80gb Coca-Cola!

I won!!!!! There was a contest here to win an iPod 80GB from the Coca-Cola company! Since I went to so many Open airs I collected a bunch of Coca-Cola tabs so I could use the codes on them on the coke page, and well it was worth it! I'm loving it!!!

Gurten Festival Bern July 2007

This weekend was great I went to Bern, to the Gurten Music Festival! There where bands like Beatsteaks, F4, Scissor Sisters, The Roots, Sunrise Avenue, Donavon Frankenreiter, Ojos de Brujo, The Locos, Joss Stone and much more!

Sapnish Evening

I went to Spain a couple of weeks ago and brought lots of goodies to do a Spanish evening at home with my two roomates. Finally we did it! I cooked a Tortilla and we had jamon y queso with a nice cold Sangria and for dessert a very good Sherry Cream!

ZüriFest 2007

Each 3 years there is a big party here in Zürich called the ZüriFest! It's really great and the best part are the Fireworks with music! Check them out and see the pictures(link bellow)!

VIP Cinema

Carina and me went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3, but with style! Thanks for the ETH SOS student group I got a voucher for the VIP seats and we could choose 4 eating items each!!!It felt like being in my living room! The movie was good, but the seats where just "der Hammer"(AWESOME)!!!!!

ETH Intership Corporate Communications

From the 18.06 I'll be working at the Corporate Communications Team of the ETH ( a very famous university here in Zurich)

it's more Corporate Design, but I think it will be great and since it's an internship I'll get to check out other areas in the Communication's field like animation and web design.

First three month and then will see what happens from there!

Party in THE house

Yesterday we had a very nice party in our house. We celebrated that Patricia is now living with us!
Our motto was, we bring the food the guest the booze. And it worked perfectly!
Since we all are from South America, each of us, cooked a specialty from out hometown. Patricia, from equator, made Cevije de camaron, popcorn and patacones! Carina, Brazilian, made brigadeiros, beijinhos, pudim de côco and pão de queijo!
I myself went to my Colombian roots and did Arepas with cheese!!! Everyone loved it! The evening started at 19o'clock and the last one went at 2:30!!!

Everything Is Illuminated

I started this book a while ago, but only now I'm really getting in to it.
It's about a young man - named Jonathan Safran Foer (just like the author)- sets out to find the woman who might or might not have saved his grandfather from the Nazis.
With only a yellowing photograph in hand and accompanied by an old man haunted by memories of the war, an amorous dog named Sammy Davis, Junior, Junior, and the unforgettable Alex, a young Ukrainian translator who speaks in a sublimely butchered English, Jonathan is led on a quixotic journey over a devastated landscape and into an unexpected past.

They have even made a movie with Elijah Wood, but first I want to read the book, really good. The guy, Alex, speaks such a bad English it's lots of fun!

I just came back from Rheinfelden, where Bibianan, my Cousin lives. She just had twins, Valeria and Vincent, and I can't get enough of them! Since Nina, my gorgeous niece is so far aways and I miss here terrible, I spend a lot of time with these two and Bibi and Willi! They are now three months old, so a lot bigger than on this picture. Look how cute they are here

global warming or not, I am loving this weather!

I know one should be concern about this heat, but I'm really enjoying it! Now it has started to rain a bit, but these last few weeks have been pure sunshine! I even went into the water..but that was really freeeeezing...13°C!

The winter is gone...or is it global warming?

We went to see the Bögg(the snowman)being burned and even exploding! It's a funny tradition here in Zürich. The Bögg represents the Winter and the faster it explodes the hotter it'll get in summer. It took like 12 min. to explode, so not so bad, but also not so good. So far the summer has arrived. I even have a little sun tan! And it's April :)
After the Bögg is gone people sit around the big fire and with the aches everyone BBQ's !! It was great a bit messy, but the food was good, since I had my Argentinian meat! Thanks dad!

This week was just wonderfull! Lots of sunshine and warm weather. But now it's getting cold again...no wonder my throat hurts!

well last week it was so nice and warm,all thought spring had come....but look how it it is now! Dad I think your right, maybe next weekend I'll get to snowboard again! But this Weekend Ill help Bibi and Willi to move to Basel. Im going there today to start the packing!

cleaning day

since the spring decided to come earlier this year, we decided to do our Frühlingsputz(spring cleaning)now. Was a lot of work but our apartment looks brand new!

I went to visit Bibiana and the babies. They are sooooo cute! And getting big. I gave them the bottle and changed their diapers, so I'm becoming the perfect babysitter!

Interview Zurich Film Festival

I was Interviewed by a women not much older than me, so it was a really nice chat, but very quick, cause she didn't have much time. I do think it went ok, but there are still other people (like 4 or 5) that she called in, so I will know the answer maybe by next week....the wainting is always the worst part :P

Morning!

Morning to all! The las two days have bee very interesting. I worked as a hostess at the judging of the annual Direct Mailing award. 400 DM from diferent agencies where there to be judged by very important advertising people. Altought I couldn't really speak to any of them I at leas got to see all the works and how they where chosen to receive a medal.
